The Hollyland Lark M1 wireless microphone system is a great value for the price. Having the charging case makes these mics super convenient and portable. They hook up using a TRS output from the receiver. No need to pair Bluetooth or anything like that. These are super simple and ready to go whenever you feel inspired.

I was initially considering the DJI wireless microphones because of the charging case. A dual microphone system was a must. This allows you to take advantage of the stereo signal split between the two mics. Take note, microphones are generally a mono connection, so this isn’t a compromise of any sort. It does allow you to get two channels without the need for additional hardware such as an audio interface.
The Rode Go II was also a consideration, but research told me that was going to be too big and bulky for my needs. The Lark M1 is smaller than the DJI and Rode options.
I have no problem admitting the quality of these microphones is not quite on par with the DJI or Rode mics, but it isn’t far off. You’ll get much better sound than the internal microphone on your phone or camera.
The settings on these microphones are super simple. You have a low, medium, and high gain. I’m used to controlling this with a knob, but the three options work alright and the default seems to do good with my voice. They are pretty sensitive, so I would certainly switch to the low setting for working out or something more active. I actually bent over in this video and really clipped the signal. It’s just something to be aware of.
